EVERYTHING'S COOL and It's ALL so damn HOT

Tonight I watched what may be the most important doc on The Issue of the day...global warming. The director and I spoke afterwards and agreed Media Reform is central to getting the message to as many people as possible, but also to keep the message non-partisan, and not a litmus on red/blue state ideological divide. Attacks on the evidence of global warming has become for some, just talking points about the greater political and cultural divide the public is facing. But America is being isolated, as the rest of the world is taking action, and not just talking about it.

from their web site:
EVERYTHING’S COOL is a film about America finally “getting” global warming in the wake of the most dangerous chasm ever to emerge between scientific understanding and political action. While industry funded nay-sayers sing what just might be their swan song of pseudo- scientific deception, a group of self-appointed global warming messengers are on a high stakes quest to find the iconic image, the magic language, the points of leverage that will finally create the political will to move the United States from its reliance on fossil fuels to the new clean energy economy - AND FAST. Hold on... this is bigger than changing your light bulbs.

Rick Piltz, a coordinator for the federal climate change program, resigned. Piltz blew the whistle on a Bush Aide, Phil Cooney - a former oil Industry Lobbyist - who blatantly doctored the scientific language and intended meaning of the reports to congress. Piltz gave his very first interview, post-resignation, for the film.
